This hyperbolic cooling tower in Hamburg (Germany) is made up of a regular dodecagonal space truss without internal bracings. Inside, the steel framework is covered with corrugated plates. At the top of the tower, a surrounding gallery is used as a stiffening ring. Beams at distances of about 2 m are designed as parabolic girders to stiffen the construction.
